MY DASH, WINE BLOG

Raising funds for the children while having a blast on Halloween, #Winning

I am reminded everyday of why I love my job so much. I work with great people, am surrounded by tons of stand up role models, drink really amazing wines and I get to plan awesome events! We are holding our second annual “Haunted Winery Halloween Party & Benefit” at Trione Winery on Friday, October 28th from 7-11pm. Tickets are only $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Admission includes one drink ticket and additional drink tickets are available for $5.

This year, proceeds will be donated to the Redwood Empire Food Bank and The Geyserville School District. Every dollar dinated helps feeds a family of four with the food bank. The Geyserville schools have lost all sports activities, arts, cousoling and more. The money will help fund some of these lost programs and keep these schools open for students.

The evening will include live music from two local bands, The Pat Jordan Band and Crazy Famous, as well as a silent auction, raffle, wine and food. Prizes include a 99 bottle wine cellar, stays at the local inn’s in Sonoma County and More!

**Bring in 10 non-perishable food items and recieve a free raffle ticket!** Last year we donated alsmot 300 pounds of food tothe Redwood Empire Food bank. This year our goal is to double it!

Wines featured for the evening will include: Alexander Valley Vineyards, Trione, Draxton, Raymond Burr, Route 128, White Oak, PapaPietro Perry

Nighttime Nibbles will be available from 7-9pm($5 for all three) include all the childhood favorites that we all remember devouring before we raced off to trick or treat.

River of Hades Tomato Soup with Creepy, Crispy, Cheesy Bread

Poltergeist Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Ghoulish (yet delicious) Gourmet Caramel Corn & River Rock Casino’s famous macaroons!

This is a true “Haunted Winery” in an “Old Stone Winery” built in 1908. Workers plunge to their death on fork lift spokes, fall in the grape press and more. Costume contests will be conducted with the grand contest, “Best costume of 2011”, Trione event team will choose five “best” costumes and guests are invited to vote for their favorite with cash. The person with the most cash in their favor, wins a lovely “wine country package” and the cash goes to the Geyserville Unified School District and Redwood Empire Food Bank. Canned food will be collected throughout the night: please bring in five non-perishable food items for one raffle ticket.

Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. You may call Trione at 707.814.8100 to pre-purchase raffle tickets.

Of course we would not be able to do this without our sponsors:
